BackMahindra Racing to participate in FIA Formula E
All-electric global race series to include 10 races in first season beginning in September 2014

Mumbai:Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s racing arm, Mahindra Racing, on Thursday said that it will participate in the inaugural FIA Formula E championships beginning in September 2014.
The all-electric global race series will include 10 races in its first season beginning in September 2014 at locations around the world, the company said at a press conference.
“The acquisition of Reva Electric Car Co. Ltd in 2010 and our entry into the field of racing have come together today and marked our entry into the world of Formula E," said Pawan Goenka, president and executive director (automotive & farm equipment sectors), Mahindra and Mahindra. Mahindra Racing will be the eighth team to join the new series to start in September, added Goenka.
This is a joint effort by Mahindra’s farm equipment unit and Mahindra Racing. “This initiative will also help Mahindra achieve its brand aspirations. The company is targeting to be the most admired brand by 2021," said Anand Mahindra, chairman of the $16.2 billion Mahindra Group.
