Troubleshooting
If you receive an error while installing livemint Desktop Alert:
- Make sure an instance of Desktop Alert is not already running. If so, exit it and restart the installation process
- Uninstall any existing copies of Desktop Alert on your computer and try the installer again.
- If installing to a drive other than the default, make sure the drive letter is correct.
- Make sure your user account has sufficient permissions to install software.
- If all else fails, attempt the install again after restarting your Operating System.
If all your Klips say "No Data."
- If you're behind a firewall or use a proxy, make sure you've entered the correct information in the Security Preferences panel
- Double-check that you are indeed connected to the Internet.
- Make sure you're running the latest version of the Desktop Alert by clicking the Check Now button in the About panel within Preferences.
If one or more of your Klips say "No Data" but others are working:
- Most of the time this happens because data for that Klip is temporarily unavailable. Wait some time and try again.
- Check the livemint Desktop Alert Setup to see if anything needs to be configured before the Klip will work properly.
